#1 - They're Super Easy to Clean

Spilled wine, dropped pasta? You never have to stress about staining your worktops again. Fused glass is non-porous and stain-proof (unlike other materials such as marble and wood) meaning all spills and splashes can be wiped away with a cloth and glass cleaner to leave it shining once again. This means you'll spend less time cleaning your kitchen and more time enjoying it.

#2 - They Look Stunning in Any Kitchen

If you’re looking for a stylish and modern kitchen island that will complement your existing decor, then a glass kitchen island is the perfect choice for you. At Fused Glass Design we offer any colour and any design as part of our service, giving you the freedom to pick whatever design you like to best suit your personality, home or style. Pair that with the UK’s biggest kiln and our expert templating team and you have (relatively) limitless options with what you can achieve using the medium of Fused Glass.

#3 - Contrary to Popular Belief, Glass is Durable when Manufactured Correctly

Our glass is most definitely a suitable option to use as a worktop. To make Fused Glass, it is repeatedly cooled and heated, this process drastically hardens the exterior of each piece. This makes them 5x stronger than your average piece of glass so they aren’t nearly as fragile, and can certainly take some wear and tear from something sharp or heavy. This process also makes the exterior more difficult to scratch, combined with the variety of textures and colours, any scratches that may occur should stay hidden.

#4 - They Create an Impressive Space for Cooking and Dining

Worktops and kitchen islands are a practical space where you can prepare food whilst entertaining. With Fused Glass you will definitely give your guests something to talk about, which is why we refer to our glass as “functional art”. Your worktops can be backlit with LEDs or backed so that they are opaque and reflect even more light. Given the complete customisation element, your kitchen will look incredible both day and night.

#5 - Glass Worktops Can Add Value to Your Property

Your kitchen is the heart of your home, a new kitchen remodel can increase the value of your home by up to 15%. Each fused glass piece is a great addition to your space, they’re one-of-a-kind and become an immediate talking point for your guests. These glass worktops or splashbacks will not only make your kitchen more functional, as our glass is heat resistant up to 500ºC, but they will also greatly enhance its aesthetic appeal.
